Container Assignments

In addition to maintaining containers from Container Inventory, containers can be assigned and unassigned from Customer Service and Route Completion. Also See Related Topics.

 

Customer Service

  1. From the Customer Service, click the Containers tab.
  2. Current container assignments and details will be listed in the grid.
  3. Click Historical to view previous container assignments and details.
  • Containers can also be viewed from Customer and Site level but can only be managed from the Service level.
  1. Click Manage Containers to Assign or Unassign containers.
  • Add/Remove Containers window will open.
  • Current Container Assignments will be listed in the top grid with the option to Unassign.
  • Available Unassigned Container Inventory will be listed in the bottom grid with the option to Assign.

 

Route Completion

  1. Begin Route Completion.
  2. Container Actions will populate in the Progress bar with calls containing Inventory ActionsClosed
    When an Activity with an Inventory Action setting is on a route, route completion will indicate there is a Container Action(s) to Assign, Unassign or Both (Exchange) based on the Inventory Action setting.
    Navigate To: System>Configuration>Code Maintenance>Customer>Activities

    Inventory Action Examples:
    Assign - Delivery activity will prompt the user to assign a container before the call can be completed.
    Unassign - Removal activity will prompt the user to unassign the container before the call can be completed.
    Exchange - Swap out or Exchange activity will prompt the user to assign and unassign a container before the call can be completed.

  3. Double click on the Assign or Unassign action to add/remove a container.
